Gardermogruppen av NRRL (LA2G)…

LA2G is the official callsign of the Gardermogruppen, a dedicated local chapter of the Norsk Radio Relæ Liga (NRRL). Founded in 1951 near the historic military hub of Gardermoen, Norway, the club brings together over 70 ham radio operators and enthusiasts from across the region.

Based out of their well-equipped clubhouse in Jessheim, members enjoy access to dedicated radio rooms featuring shortwave (HF), VHF, and UHF communication equipment. The group actively shapes the Norwegian amateur radio community by operating key repeaters, supporting local emergency communication services, and organizing the annual Norsk Hammeeting—the largest national gathering for amateur radio trading, lectures, and social networking.

Norwegian Hammeeting…

Celebrating nearly two decades as an annual tradition since its inception in 2008, Norsk Hammeeting is Norway’s premier national convention for amateur radio enthusiasts, hosted by the Gardermoen group of the NRRL (LA2G). The event has grown into a major national and international gathering for “Hams”, drawing visitors, speakers and suppliers from across Europe and the United States, while regularly playing host to global podcasters and YouTubers who broadcast interviews, programs, and live coverage straight from the convention floor. Featuring technical lectures, regulatory updates from authorities, commercial vendor exhibits, and a massive junksalg flea market for second-hand radio gear.

Norwegian Radio Relay League (NRRL)…

The Norsk Radio Relæ Liga (NRRL) is Norway’s national non-profit organization for amateur radio enthusiasts. Founded in 1928, the league represents Norwegian hams internationally, manages the country’s global QSL bureau, and operates a vital volunteer emergency communications network (NRRL Sambandstjenesten) to aid public safety agencies when commercial infrastructure fails. NRRL is the Norwegian equivalent to the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).
