Emergency Communication…
Norwegian Radio Relay League (NRRL) has established emergency communication services in various districts in Norway. LA2G provides amateur-based emergency communication north of the Oslo region.
We cooperate with the Norwegian Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, local authorities, the police, and other voluntary organizations like the Red Cross, Norwegian People’s Aid, and the Norwegian Rescue Dog Association.
LA2G contributes VHF/UHF/HF communication for areas without mobile phone coverage or when GSM/LTE/5G/Phone services are unavailable. Another important service is APRS tracking. This tool has become very popular both within other volunteer SAR organizations and professional or governmental organizations.
In emergency situations, we monitor relevant frequencies and our Winlink (WL2K) accounts.
